Spoilt for Choice or Hidden Snares?

Some years back, when Wee Care was still a young company, a mother who had approached me for one of our infant development programmes, called back to say that she would not sign her daughter up after all. “Oh why?” I asked, more out of curiosity, for she had seemed so keen. “Well,” she returned, “my husband doesn’t understand why a baby needs a tuition teacher.” Splutter, splutter. “But, but, but…,” I wanted so desperately to blurt out, “that is not what Wee Care is about.”
