A Bus Ride at Toa Payoh Interchange

After reading “We Go!”, the children in Bright Starts I and II visited the Toa Payoh Bus Interchange on the 2nd of March 2012.

The Manager of the Interchange was so kind. He showed us how the buses move in and out of their respective bus-bays and how commuters can track the times and routes of their rides in an efficient manner. Later, he took us to meet some bus captains and showed us their comfy lounge too! We learnt that bus captains have a tough job to do. They take turns to ply the red-eye routes. They have to be patient and careful. Later, we took a short ride around Toa Payoh and learnt how to press the bell before alighting at a bus-stop.

Thank you, SBS Transit, for a wonderful learning experience!
